In every great GAA club, there’s a heartbeat that goes far beyond the pitch, beyond the results, and beyond the silverware. In Dicksboro GAA & Camogie Club, that heartbeat is our volunteers.

They are the quiet force behind everything we do — the early risers, the late stayers, the problem solvers, and the people who simply get things done without ever looking for recognition. Week in, week out, they give their time, their energy, and their passion to ensure that our club continues to thrive for players, families, and the wider community.

We are deeply indebted to this group — not just for what they do, but for how they do it.

Our grounds committee are the custodians of our home. Through all weather and all seasons, they ensure our pitches, walkways, and facilities are in top condition. Their work is often unseen, but absolutely essential — without them, there is no training, no matches, no place for our members to gather and grow.

Our lotto committee are the engine room behind one of the club’s most important fundraisers. Week after week, they organise, promote, and deliver — quietly generating the funds that help sustain and develop our club for the future.

Our bar and coffee dock committee bring life and warmth to the club grounds. Whether it’s a cup of coffee on a cold morning, a few sociables or a place to gather after a match, they create an atmosphere that turns our club into a true community hub.

And our stewards — the friendly faces who ensure everything runs safely and smoothly on busy days. They are the organisers, the guides, the people who step forward to help wherever needed, ensuring that every event is a positive experience for all.

These groups, and so many others across the club, represent the very best of what the GAA stands for — community, volunteerism, and pride of place.

In Dicksboro, we don’t take this for granted.

We recognise that every hour given, every task completed, and every small act of support adds up to something much bigger — a club that is strong, welcoming, and built on shared effort.
