Dicksboro Mothers & Others Goes from Strength to Strength π±π»π
What started with the group pictured above at their very first training session has quickly developed into a fantastic new addition to Dicksboro.
Our Mothers & Others group now has over 30 members, with an average of around 16 attending training each week. With the summer holidays coming to an end and everyone getting back into routine, we expect those numbers to increase further throughout September.
The ladies are being put through their paces by Dicksboro Gaelic football legend Aidan Maher, who has brought plenty of experience and enthusiasm to the training sessions.
The emphasis is firmly on fun, fitness, friendship and participation. Players of all abilities are welcome, whether you played football years ago or have never kicked a ball before.
First Game Fast Approaching! π
After weeks of training, the group are now looking forward to a major milestone, their first ever fixture.

And in the true spirit of Mothers & Others, the football will be followed by refreshments and a chance to socialise afterwards in the Palmerstown clubhouse.
It promises to be a great evening and another important step in the development of the group.
New members are always welcome, so if you fancy getting active, meeting new people and enjoying some football in a relaxed and friendly environment, come along and give it a go.
Best of luck to Aidan and all the ladies as they prepare to pull on the Dicksboro colours for the first time! π±π»π
